Summary
We are looking for an experienced Actuarial Analyst to join our Actuarial Consulting Services team. You will assist Scheme Actuaries and Senior Actuarial Analysts/Consultants to provide advice to a portfolio of corporate defined benefit pension schemes. Examples of the areas of work would include triennial valuations and other funding updates, individual member calculations, preparation of accounting numbers, actuarial costings.
You will also have responsibility for reviewing actuarial work of junior colleagues.

Responsibilities include:
Ability to design and provide guidance/ideas on calculations and spreadsheet design for ad hoc tasks.
Ability to derive possible assumptions basis and justify rationale to senior colleagues
Ability to adapt standard spreadsheets and standard report templates for client requirements
Individual calculations
Actuarial valuations, including data work, liability calculations, analysis of surplus, calculation of future contributions, report and document drafting
Accounting disclosures
Funding updates

Who are we looking for?
Currently working in a pensions actuarial team
Excel skills - VLOOKUP's and macros
Member of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries and working towards becoming a qualified actuary or wanting to start the actuarial exams (with full study support available)
Good team player, with excellent attitude and flexible approach to work
Experience in using PFaroe actuarial software (preferable)
