Job Title: Accounting Technician Location: Belfast Salary: Competitive, Based on Experience About the Role: An established accountancy practice in Belfast is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Technician to join their dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to contribute to a variety of accounting and finance tasks. Key Responsibilities: * Prepare year-end accounts for Limited Companies, Sole Traders, and Partnerships. * Assist in ad-hoc projects such as client transactions, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), raising finance, and other financial tasks. * Support senior accountants with daily workflow management. * Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery. Requirements: * Proven ability to prepare accounts, financial statements, and VAT returns, both individually and as part of a team. * Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work accurately under tight deadlines. * Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly convey financial information. * Experience using cloud-based accountancy software such as Xero or QuickBooks. * Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
