Job Description

As an Account Director, you will be responsible for managing both strategic and transactional client engagement throughout the contract lifecycle. This includes fostering strong partnerships, enhancing client satisfaction, and improving their overall experience. You will also play a key role in supporting the digital transformation journey and global delivery model of the business, ensuring successful client buy-in to continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, you will identify and pursue opportunities for upselling and cross-selling services within the company’s wider portfolio, as appropriate. Key Responsibilities: * Assess and review the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems, processes, and controls, making recommendations to improve service delivery. * Provide active, accountable client management, communicating any operational changes to clients and securing the necessary approvals. Ensure services are delivered effectively and identify growth opportunities within the client base. * Ensure the delivery of client and contractual expectations and obligations in line with agreed terms and conditions. * Manage and oversee Change Control Notes or Letters of Variation for tasks performed outside of the contract. * Approve invoicing according to the agreed contract terms and services provided. * Support client strategy, ensuring that account plans are relevant and regularly reviewed (at least monthly) to identify further business opportunities. * Lead client meetings, ensuring papers are distributed promptly and in the agreed format. * Take the lead on service instructions into the delivery team, ensuring follow-through on decisions and actions from client meetings to successful completion. * Lead on rebids and contract extensions, ensuring they are managed efficiently and in compliance with governance processes. * Chair Contract Review Committees/Product Review Committees for existing and new clients as applicable. * Take ownership of and actively manage and resolve any claims and commercial issues that arise. * Maximise upsell, cross-sell, or project revenue opportunities within your client portfolio, leveraging subject matter experts to ensure successful development and implementation of these opportunities. Skills, Knowledge and Experience: * Proven experience as an Account Director with a strong background in Defined Benefit pensions. * Expertise in managing private sector pension accounts. * Experience working with a portfolio of accounts and delivering client solutions. * Strong understanding of personal objectives, departmental goals, and business targets. * Collaborative team player with the ability to communicate and share knowledge effectively with colleagues. * Solid understanding of commercial pricing models to drive revenue growth and maintain profitability.
