Job Description
LOCATION: Stockport
* JOB TITLE: 7.5T Driver
* TYPE: Timber site deliveries
* PAY: £14.25 PAYE or £15.97 including holiday pay
Rapid Time Recruit Limited acting as an Employment Business is currently recruiting for an experienced 7.5T driver on behalf of our client in Stockport, this is on an ongoing basis Monday – Friday with temp – perm opportunities.
Role of a 7.5T delivery Driver:
* Operate a 7.5 tonne lorry for the delivery of goods to designated locations.
* Lifting and delivering items such as timer and decking (mainly taken off on site by receiver)
* Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, maintaining the integrity of all items transported.
* Initially circa 3 days per week but will lead to a temp - perm position.
* Start times 07:00am
* Mon – Fri
* Average 8 – 9 hour shifts
7.5 tonne drivers will require:
* Previous experience as a delivery driver is essential, with a proven track record of safe driving practices.
* A valid commercial driving licence (C1) is required to operate a 7.5 tonne vehicle.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are necessary for managing deliveries efficiently.
* Excellent communication skills are essential for interacting with customers and team members effectively
* Must have a minimum 6-month previous HGV driving experience.
* Digital tachograph card CPC card.
* Always be professional and presentable.
* Have a flexible approach to work and changing circumstances.
* Must not hold any more than 6 points on your license.
* No IN10, DR10, DG10, CD10 or TT99
PAYE rates are:
* DAYS £14.25 Plus holiday accrual or £15.97 Including Holiday accrual
* Min 8 hours paid
