Job Description

Our Client, a leading design and build contractor to the Water sector, is currently seeking a 4D Planner to join their digital team. The main project is a large-scale wastewater treatment project, which is due to be operationally net-zero carbon as well as energy-neutral. You’ll initially be based at the Peterborough office, but will switch to Cambridge once the project progresses. Our client follows a hybrid working model. You will report directly to the Head of Digital Delivery and should be a digitally passionate individual with a creative mindset and the ability to influence change. With an appreciation for 4D modelling, digital rehearsal facilitation, and strong interpersonal skills, you will work with the Cambridge delivery team. This role is about bridging the gap between engineering and delivery functions through collaborative practices. You will receive support from our community of 4D Planners and Digital specialists across the business, with opportunities to train and develop across the broad spectrum of digital delivery tools. Implementing Digital Delivery as ‘business as usual’ is a strategic priority for our Client. The core Digital Delivery tools include: * Delivery & Digital Strategy * Visual Project Initiation (including Digital Survey) * Data-rich 3D models * Collaborative Reviews * Digital Rehearsals * Digital Field Management * Building our Data & Analytics capability To ensure our regional team has the support needed to integrate these digital tools as ‘business as usual’, we require a 4D Planner. --- THE ROLE The role will cover two main aspects: Rehearsal Technician (c. 70% of time) You will be required to develop 4D models utilising Synchro for Digital Rehearsals, linking the model and programme, to provide visualisations. It will be your responsibility to ensure the programme represents the sequence of works on the project, highlighting any physical or time clashes, and flagging any potential health and safety issues. Visualisation outputs will be utilised for: * Weekly lookaheads * Team briefings * Detailed overviews for Client engagement and externalisation. You will also have a great understanding of construction methodology and logistics, planning techniques, technology integration and data processes. This will be a significant part of the role; support can be provided in peak times from the Digital Core Team and you will work closely with the lead project planner to ensure the model remains accurate at all times. Rehearsal Facilitator (c. 30% of time) You will also act as a rehearsal facilitator on the project in both office and site environments. Training will be provided in rehearsal facilitation. The focus of the facilitator is to clarify the strategic delivery intent and stakeholder interfaces. Digital Rehearsals will be held both virtually and in-person, so you must be comfortable with traveling to construction sites. --- ABOUT THE CANDIDATE Essential Requirements * Capability to fulfil the role requirements. * 4D Synchro software capability and a background in planning. * Understanding of critical path management, control, and scheduling. * Strong communication and facilitation skills. * Experience working with delivery teams to develop and implement practical applications. * Ability to maximize efficiencies from digital tools and proactively manage system issues. * A mindset focused on streamlining regional processes and enhancing system functionality. --- Full Circle Technical are acting as an employment business and employment agency.
